Brothers of raped teen booked for beating up 11-year-old kin of accused

GREATER NOIDA: Two men allegedly assaulted and injured an 11-year-old brother of a man accused of raping their sister. A 22-year-old man, now in jail, was accused of raping a 15-year-old deaf and mute girl who lived in his neighbourhood in a Dankaur village on November 6 last year. Police have now booked the two of the girl after a complaint of was filed by the father of the 11-year-old on December 25.
As per police records, the 22-year-old man was caught last year raping the 15-year-old girl who was bedridden. He fled when her family members raised an alarm. ?Based on a complaint by the girl?s father in November, we booked the accused under Section 376 of the IPC for rape. A medical test confirmed and the accused was arrested on November 7,? said Rajpal Singh Tomar, station house officer of Dankaur police station.

On December 25, the 11-year-old brother of the arrested accused was allegedly assaulted with a blunt object by the brothers of the girl. ?My son had gone to buy groceries when he was stopped by the two men who attacked him with blunt objects. A neighbour recognised them and rescued my son,? the father of the 11-year-old wrote in his police complaint.

The injured minor was rushed to the community health centre in Dankaur, from where he was referred to the district hospital in Noida. He suffered fractures in his head and damages to his eardrums, police said. ?We booked the two assailants on the basis of the complaint by the father of the 11-year-old boy under sections 307(attempt to murder) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt),? said Tomar. He added that the two men had denied the allegations. They claimed they were celebrating Christmas in Delhi at the time of the alleged assault on the boy. ?They were released after detention, we are investigating the allegations and collecting proof to arrive at a conclusion,? Tomar added.
