Coaching centre owner booked

HISAR: Police here have registered a case against the owner of a for allegedly duping the father of one of his students of about Rs 11 lakh. Dinesh Nagpal, director of Transform Centre here, had allegedly promised to enroll complainant Balblir Singh?s son in a medical college in Philippines.

The case has been registered at Urban Estate police station. Balbir Singh, a resident of Chirod village in , alleged that he met Dinesh Nagpal in February 2018. When he was discussing his son?s career, Nagpal allegedly promised to get Balbir?s son, Jagvinder, enrolled in Our Lady of Fatima University of Philippines.

He had claimed that he had the rights to get students in north India enrolled in the university. Balbir later met Nagpal, his wife Santosh and brother-in-law Devendra Godara, it has been alleged.

At the time, the accused allegedly promised to send Jagvinder to Philippines in March. Balbir claimed that Nagpal sent his son to the Philippines in June, but when his son reached there, he came to know that he was not enrolled in the said university.
